ಮರೆಯಲಾರೆ
ದಿವಿನಾದ ಕೆಂಗುಲಾಬಿ,
ನಿನ್ನ ಹೊಳಪು ಕಂಗಳ ನಗೆಯಂತೆ..
ಜೊತೆಗಿದ್ದ ಘಮ ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯದಿತ್ತೇ?
ಇರಬೇಕು, ಇಲ್ಲವೆಂದರೆ ನೀನಿಲ್ಲದಿರುವಾಗ
ನಿನ್ನ ನಗು ನೆನಪಾಗಬೇಕೇಕೆ?

[This short poem was written in order to pay homage to Reena. Reena was one of the most beautiful girls I had the privilege of being friends with. Welcoming me with a rose into our hostel, during my post-grad days was just the beginning of good times. She was real strong, had positive approach all along and in a way, a source of support and inspiration to me. Her untimely death ended her physical presence. But she continues to live through her deeds and in the memories of friends and family. RIP Reena.]
